Erin’s favorite music groups are Rascal Flatts and Linkin Park, and We the Kings.
Her favorite hobby is reading. She really enjoys reading different series, like Twilight, Wicked, the Hunger Games, the Mediator, and Uglies.
Her pets are Daisy and Louie, the kitties; Little Guy, the Guinea pig; Muffin, the beta fish.
If she were to meet anyone, she would love to meet a character named Jean from a series of books she’s read called Wicked. She thinks he’s dreamy and mysterious. Also he’s strong and powerful. He’s powerful only because he’s not afraid to stand up to anyone.
What Erin says is her favorite thing to do is sleeping and eating.
Her favorite T.V. shows are Full House, What I Like About You, and The Big Bang Theory.
Erin is 13 years old and was diagnosed with Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP)
when she was 10 months old. Erin is among
approximately 700 others worldwide who has
been diagnosed with this disease. Erin had her
first major painful, bone-forming flare-up when
she was about 5 years old. At that point, she
was no longer able to lift her arms above her
waist and lost some mobility in her neck.
Since that time, she has had several flare-ups and has lost more mobility in her neck, back, and arms; and will get progressively worse. Erin is a nurturing, fun-loving, smart girl, who would love to have your support in finding a cure for FOP so she and others with this devastating disease can rest easier knowing that one day they may be able to move freely.
